How long does it take for the carpets to dry?

The carpets are normally dry within 5-8 hours after the completion of the job. If there is a particular room that would be helpful to get dry quicker, the technicians can make efforts to accomplish that. Shoe covers will be left for family members to allow them to use the carpets during the drying process. These help prevent soil from transferring from shoes to the damp carpet.

If we know in advance that accelerated drying is needed, we can bring additional drying equipment.

Can I walk on the carpet while it is wet?

There are two concerns about walking on damp carpet.

1. Someone may slip when they step onto a hard surface when their shoes are damp.

2. Damp carpets easily clean soil off of shoes.

Shoe covers help prevent both concerns. We also recommend placing a towel at the doorway to remind occupants that the carpet is damp. The towel should also be used for wiping and drying the bottom of shoes.

Pet Concerns

Pets should be kept away during the cleaning process. Pets should remain off the carpet until it is dry.

Arrival time

There is a 30-minute window for arrival time for the first appointment of the day. All subsequent appointments will have a 2-hour arrival window.

Can you clean wool carpet?

Yes. We use wool-safe products and procedures.

Do you move furniture?

Our normal policy is to only clean visible and open areas. We can clean safely right up to the edge of furniture. If we are not cleaning under major pieces of furniture there is no charge for those areas. Since people usually have not walked on those areas, there is no need to professionally clean them. If the furniture is moved in the future, vacuuming will capture any dust that may have settled in that area.

We will be glad to discuss any situations that may require moving furniture and get back to you.

Do you work on weekends?

At this time weekends are not part of our normal working hours. We can discuss situations that may require weekend or evening work and get back to you.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. We accept VISA, Master Card, Discover, and American Express cards.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. We stand behind all of our work. The technicians will explain and pre-qualify obvious concerns that will significantly degrade the final cleaning result. Abnormal soiling conditions, dye stains, carpet damage, and (on certain carpet fibers) pet urine damage can affect the cleaning results.

What if a spot returns after the cleaning?

The carpet face fibers are thoroughly cleaned in our cleaning process. Spots that reappear after cleaning are generally a result of a spill that went into the backing of the carpet and wicks up during the drying process or are from a pre-existing residue from spot cleaners that were previously used on the carpet. If the technician is not made aware of these unusual situations they cannot use appropriate procedures to eliminate the problem.

We have a 30-day spot and spill policy in which we will return one time at no charge to attempt to eliminate the cause of the re-soiling. This policy also applies to new spills that the consumer is unable to remove with standard consumer spot cleaning procedures. We are always glad to advise consumers over the phone how they can perform simple spot removal.

Do you clean area rugs?

Yes. We can clean synthetic rugs at the customer’s home. Natural fiber rugs require that we clean them in our shop for a thorough and safe cleaning. This process normally requires the rugs to be away from the home for 7 days.

Is carpet protector safe?

Yes. Carpet protector (Teflon) has been used on carpets and cooking utensils safely for almost 40 years. Concerns that have been exaggerated in the media all relate to the manufacturing of the product. There has never been a legitimate concern for consumers in their homes.

Why are you more expensive than other companies I have seen?

Carpet cleaning is a service. There is a range in the level of quality, service, and professionalism that various companies offer. Can you remove pet urine spots and stains?

We are usually able to achieve very satisfactory results treating the carpet from the surface using new tools and solutions.

Will cleaning cause my carpet to re-soil faster?

No. Proper cleaning does not cause carpets to re-soil sooner. We use the best cleaning solutions and procedures to ensure this does not happen. The two most common reasons for the apparent rapid re-soiling is that the carpets were not thoroughly cleaned or that the carpet protector has worn off and not been restored.

Does cleaning remove the stain protection from my carpet?

No. The loss of carpet protector is due to daily foot traffic and use of the carpet. Carpet protector is a clear coating on a flexible fiber. Over time, the flexing of the carpet fibers from use will cause the protector to flake off. Carpet manufactures recommend restoring the protector in daily use areas annually.

Is it a good value to restore the carpet protection?

Yes. Fiber manufacturers put protector on the carpet fibers to resist soiling. Protector wears off due to normal use. A restorative application of protector following your cleaning will restore your carpet’s ability to resist soiling. This will help your carpet look cleaner longer.

Why are your prices higher than the coupons I receive in the mail?

All carpet cleaning is not the same. The level of service, quality, and expertise vary with different companies. In most cases you get what you pay for. We also believe in straightforward pricing and do not have hidden charges. Often the low advertised price is not the price the company is planning on charging you.

Does your cleaning fulfill the warranty requirements for my carpet?

Yes. We follow the internationally accepted cleaning standard of The Clean Trust. These standards are accepted by all carpet manufacturers for the maintenance requirements of their warranties.
