Type of Stain: Oily foodstuffs, including coffee,
mustard, tea, soft drinks, beer, wine, vomit, urine, excrement. Type of Stain: Starches, sugars and foodstuffs, such
as egg, milk, blood, candy, ice cream, chocolate, sugar stains, salad
dressing. Type of Stain: Heavy grease and oil, including gum,
oil tar, inks, wax, butter, grease, household cement. Warning! Pre-test all cleaning agents in an inconspicuous area to make sure they are colorfast. Do not attempt to remove these stains: Lipstick, rouge, nail polish, rust, dried mustard, furniture stains, candle wax. These stains require special reagents or techniques to be used by professional carpet cleaners only. Note: Many carpet owners put agents and compounds on their carpeting in hopes that they will remove spots and stains. Often, these agents become more of a problem than the original spot. If the spot doesn't come out using the suggestions above, don't risk damaging your carpet. Call a professional carpet cleaner. - Carpet & Fabricare Institute Maintenance Tips

Response Saves Sofa! Fabric protector is essential
for keeping your upholstered furniture looking good for a long time. Always
ask if it has been applied when you purchase a new piece of upholstered
furniture. The protector will not come off later during proper cleanings, but
it will wear off in normal use. It should be restored periodically when you
have the fabric professionally cleaned. Maintain Your
Carpets Appearance
A key way to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of your carpet is to take steps to prevent the dirt from coming in the house in the first place. Keep the dirt outside where it belongs. Most soiling on carpets comes
from dirt tracked in on shoes.
Preventing your carpets from getting dirty in the first place keeps your home healthier and helps your carpets last longer and look better. |

Carpet Protector
Keeps Your Carpet Looking Like New
Carpets have come a long way
since they were first manufactured. Major changes have been made to help
carpets hide soiling, prevent static build-up, resist soiling and staining
and to maintain their luxurious The most significant event occurred in the life of nylon carpets over twenty years ago when manufacturers started applying a flourochemical product to the nylon fibers to prevent soiling. We recognize this product by names such as Teflon® or Scotchgard®. The carpet protector can be reapplied to the fibers after it is professionally cleaned to restore what has been worn off . The fiber manufacturers indicate that after two years there will be a significant loss of the original protector. Carpet protector should be reapplied annually, especially in heavy use areas. When you keep the fibers completely protected, your carpets will look cleaner longer and emergency spot cleaning will be easier and more effective. |
